This blog has been quiet for a reason. Earlier this year, we were trying to sell our condo. A potential buyer suggested how we must be desperate to sell our condo due to the old house we purchased on Going. So, we concluded that buyers might be reading this blog and it was going to put us as a disadvantage to be so open about our process. So, we instituted a policy of radio silence until the condo sold.
Once it sold, we were busy getting things moving again. We started working with our bank and interviewing contractors. We felt it wasn't in our interests to talk about our project until we'd nailed everything down.
We are about 80% 'nailed down' at this point so we're going to unload on you with several blog posts about what's been going on.
Our goal with this blog has been to document the journey but also add value by being open and transparent about our process, the costs, the challenges and how we feel about all of that.
Now that we are going to create some dust, make some noise and make more mistakes, if you are ever annoyed at us or this project, consider Hanlon's Razor:
Never attribute to malice that which is adequately explained by stupidity.
So off we go...
